My second 1/48th project

I have just finished Hedgerow; my 2nd 1/48 project. I enjoyed the challenge of the thatched roof (once I was brave enough to finally get started on it!) and the landscaping was really fun to do. My only regret is that I wasn't brave enough to light it. I also messed up by decorating the 1st floor "floor" piece and then realising it was upside down (I did this on my first project too, so must me an issue for me?!?!). I experienced some warping on the side roof, which is going to need some care to touch up, but otherwise the build was relatively problem free given my inexperience! My first project!

My first of many PP I'm sure - I purchased Hedgerow at the York fair and I'm pleased with it so far. I've always worked with 12th scale, so 48th was very alien to me. The pieces are small but very managable. My only gripe is that sometimes the instructions are not very clear, I try to use the pictures for reference but I don't feel they are the best. The windows and doors are causing me the most bother and the pictures aren't clear as to which way they are supposed to be glued in.Shebs (19 Dec 2015, 15:10)
